started as a vision for a fragrance that Statik Olfactive's founder and creative director Chris Martin wanted to create as a sort of "end all" to his fragrance journey. A fragrance that was perfect to him and his tastes, and one that checked all the boxes for what he was looking to get out of a scent. When the pandemic hit in 2020, like most of the world, Chris was stuck at home with nothing but time by his side. The idea for "Into the Wild" had been one that was ruminated over for a few years at this point, so he decided what better time to attempt to create it than the present... so that's what he set out to do. After lots of research, he purchased a bunch of raw materials and ingredients and attempted to bring to life what he envisioned. After about 2 years of failed trial formula after failed trial formula, Chris realized he was a bit out of his league and couldn't quite get it "right". That's when he found Darren Alan. Recommended to Chris by a friend familiar with Darren's work, Chris reached out to Darren and ran his idea past him, and Darren was all too willing to take on the task at hand. After many zoom calls and conversations, and another year of trial formulations, all the sudden when Chris smelled one of the revisions to the formula, it clicked... THIS was it. This was EXACTLY what Chris had envisioned. It was perfect. Darren Alan had managed to do the seemingly impossible... he took the dream for "Into the Wild" and made it something tangible. A scent that would unknowingly become something 3 years in the making, "Into the Wild" will forever hold a special place in Chris' heart. So much has gone into that fragrance... so much time, energy, failures, lost hope... then all the sudden after 3 years, a WIN. "Into the Wild" was originally supposed to just be a fragrance for Chris and Chris only, but after seeing all the positive reactions from friends and family, he knew this scent was something that shouldn't be "gatekept", and that's when the decision was made to make it available for the masses.
